EBC Greenstuff (Yay or Nay)
I'd guess that if you left stuff on the rotors you got the pads too hot and melted them. Did you bed them first? Driving them hard without bedding could be the problem.
You may just drive too hard for regular street pads and maybe you should look at dual duty pads like EBC red or any of a number of other options. However, most dual duty pads have more dust and noise. EBC reds are not very good (in race type situations), but don't have a lot of dust or noise. Carbotech Panther Plus padss are a good street/track compromise pad but are dusty and noisy

While on the topic of LS400 brakes, what is the consens on pads for them. Few companies make HP pads for the calipers so what are the options? Would it be possible to modify Supra pads to fit the calipers ( they are slightly bigger)
That's kinda the problem i faced when i bought these, there aren't alot of options for higher performance pads on the LS400 brakes. I defently bedded the pads correctly, and i don't drive hard (all the time
). We'll see though, maybe they'll settle down after a few hundred more miles?

Yeah they are smaller, not much smaller but smaller. www.intellexual.net is a good site that indicates the difference.
