Thanks for the tips guys, and yep "at least it ain't crack!" lol. I was working on my engine swap last night and kind of fell in love with the SC again haha... and also realized I wanted to do more to it. At the same time I was thinking I should free up some money, and realized as much as I like the ES300, it would be better for me, especially with spring comming up, to get rid of it, pay some bills, and use the rest to mod the SC300. This will also help me feed the Lexus withdrawl I would have from selling the ES.

Lol... well with just the stock 1JZ swap I would hope to blow the doors off of most (close to stock) civics, 240's, etc... what I'm shooting for is the DSM range as of now. So I guess if I put the full $2000 towards performance mods I would be able to aim for some mildly modded v8s or turbo cars lol

*AHEM* That ecu upgrade is a financial investment. It gives me an edge when I'm running from the cops. God...

im tellin ya, you will be extremly happy with more hp mods. Or maybe you could split it half and half 1k for looks 1k for like a torqe converter. As much as I love the SC with the 1jz. A camero with the Ls1 im pretty sure would beat just a 1jz sc im still yet to see any 1/4 mile times with just a 1jz sc and nothing else.(anyone have any?) My RX-7 TT puts down low 14's and its pretty stock, also runing at about 5000ft so im losing about 80-85% power. I dout an SC with just a 1jz would come close to that considering they are about 1500 pounds more then the RX-7 even though both cars make about same hp.

boosted motors fare better than na cars at high altitudes. you may be losing power but your way ahead of the camero in getting a more dense o2 content.

i say go interior and make it comfortable. go fast goodies are nice but i always like a buffer time between getting a motor swapped and making big power. that way i can sort all the bugs out and see if anything pops up out of the blue. then again just taking care of the small things wrong like creaks, odd noises etc. is even nicer... few bucks here and there to clean up the swap stuff, refresh some bushings, mounts, door dings all that will help the overall and a lot of it can be done with little money.

Personally, I'm a fan of re-newing the old...With that said, I say replace whatever you feel is worn...Theres nothing like the feeling of stepping foot into a car with new suspension, leather, and a smooooothhh well-tuned engine...Trust me, it makes your driving experience very pleasing....

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of huge HP numbers also but theres always a desire for more power.....It's comparable to drugs, once you hit it..you want MORE AND MORE...These mods can only put a smile on your face for short amt of time..
