Hey everyone.

Just wanted to let all the SC owners know that Weapon R will be designing a ECU+intake for the SC model soon. No pictures or prices yet but will post more info. when it comes available
If you want you can go to the Weapon R post under the GS forum. They are working on the GS400 right now and should be done very soon.
I would like to get some feedbacks from you SC owners and will try to answer as many questions as I can.

y2kgs,

Can you tell us more about the system.
What gains should we be expecting?
Is is an ECU swap, or an add-on?
Will it come with the custom pipping and MAF holder?
Will it include the heat shield?
What generations will it cover (>98, <98)?

Thanks,

Chris K.

Gosh I think most of the questions are already asked above. Will this be a separate product than SRT's? Is it just coincidence that SRT posted a similar message at the same time? Or will one be just a resale of the other? I would love to be able to compare different products from a performance and price standpoint!
thanx for the updates!

Talk to the guys at Weapon R today about the intake systems for the SC3/4. We are not planning on getting some things up set for the car. In looking at both the 300/400. It looks like if the stock intake comes out from the same place. Correct me if I am wrong.
We will start working on the ECU and intake this month. I will keep you all updated on what goes on.
Yes it will come with a heat shield
everything is custom design for the car, piping and all
The ECU will be a tunable piggyback
Will try to cover models from 97-2000 but please let me know what years are more preferred.
More details to follow soon

The geezers and the Wealthy Responsible People Who Don't Mod Their Cars™ haven't sold us their 97-2000 SC's yet, so make one for the older models. Otherwise, your sales will be dismal and people will cast curses on Weapon R.

Consider that I got my '93 with 50k on it for 22 grand, and a '97+ would have been nearly twice that. If I had that kind of money, I'd be in a turbo Porsche. Of course if I had bought that car I'd probably say screw the porsche and mod the hell out of the one I bought, but then that's just me.

Ya for sure make one for the 92-96 models, you'll sell MANY more I believe... I won't buy another car that has the damned OBDII or VVTi.

Yup. Another '96 SC400 here.
How much horse power gain should we expect?

Not to sure what would be the exact gain but Weapon R will be making a intake w/ECU pretty soon.
I will post more info when I hear back from them.

How exactly tunable is the ECU? How do you tune it? Advantages? What materials are the piping and heat shield constructed out of?

I think that 2000 was the last year the SC was sold and only about 700 (maybe less) SC400's were sold in 2000, I don't think too many were sold between 98-00. Definitely many more SC's from the 92-95 gen and the 96-97 gen.

oh, '95 SC400 here

hellasboy

Sorry but I cannot provide any details of the ECU for now. The advantage is of course thats is a ECU that can be tuned for future mods. The piping is made of the same material just like other intakes and the shield is made out of plactic material.
As I mentioned, I am working with Weapon R for intakes from 92 and up.
