Question

Ok, so here I am planning my next project and am reviewing the schematic. Any ideas how we can use the existing key lock/unlock to beep once and blink lights on/off when arming and disarming? Relays or something? Maybe a signal off the LED?

Not majorly important, but useful anyways.

Lightbulb

I too have been considering this mod. I have a 94 sc400 and the schematics for both the 94 and the 95 with the 95 being the first year that the factory alarm 'chirped" what they did was to add a buzzer. that has a signal off of the door lock ECU so what I am figuring to do is to place a buzzer between b6 and the ground

Question hmmmm

Ok Irie, sounds like what I was thinking, but what is the standard value for that ECU terminal? In my manual it shows that W8 terminal 6 to body ground shows a standard value of below 1V when ignition key inserted in cylinder and 10 ~ 14 V when out of cylinder.

I think what we need is a way to send a 12V pulse from the light to a buzzer to signal it armed.

Ideas?
