Default Body kits for SC all look the same!!

If anyone ever noticed, besides lip addons basicly every body kit looks the same (or verrry similar) especially the front bumper I can only think of the one kit that looks different then the rest. Is this just me or am I going crazy? Back when I had the prelude there was tons of different kits that looked nothing alike.

That's because the SC isn't for kids who want crazy bodykits that don't flow with the lines of the car.

I'm not saying I LIKE/want crazy body kits, i'm the type who loves a clean look (lip kit most preffered) but there can be more then one style of a body kit thats considered clean and tasteful...

I dunno but I've seen bodykits that range from horrid and tacky to simply bad-*** for the SC.

Also remember the SC has a limited aftermarket when comparing to a Prelude. The Honda will always have a greater variety of items to choose from.

not many kits you can pull of AND be lowered with.

I guess you want a stand out kit versus just fitting in with the "crowd". I've seen some different kits but quality could be an issue.

It's not that I can't find a decent kit, because the style (v-spec) is the one that 90 percent of the other kits are copied off of are close too. It is a sexy and clean kit it's just that everyone has them, but I guess what does it matter to me since theres virtually not any SC's around here reguardless let alone modded. But for car shows and meets anyone else that has a kit it's almost a for sure thing it's gunna be the same kit or a 'knockoff' kit. Does anyone understand what i'm saying? I was just asking to see if i'm not the only one who sees this 'trend' heh sorry if I caused any misunderstanding...

I think there are plenty of options that look very different. Bomex, Vertex, Auto Couture, Do-Luck, Origin all have there own look. You might be seeing similarities because most CL members have chosen the Vertex kit, or knock off Vertex. Search and you'll find more.

The reason everybody has that "kit" (V-speed, VIS, Vortex or whatever other knock off names they can come up with) is because it is cheap. Dirt cheap so that 90% of SC owners with body modifications has this kit.

Why? because it is cheap
Why? because it is cheap

How can you stop this?
Get a nice looking kit that is different than everybody else, isn't that easy?

hey i understand what you are trying to say neoprelude. but the problem is that while you and someother do want to see different kits but not nessissarily crazyones. SC owners havent provided enough of a market for that kind of kit. so you may have to look for japanes kits (i have seen many on CL) or wait a year or two and see what happens to "the scene" and the market.

For real, they are all so similar!

In order:
Phonix SPL
Ab flug
Dianna Godfather
Team Target
Sard
Inspection
Shot (by Admiration)

Perhaps the only reason you think they all look the same is becuase Vertex and Vertex k/o's are king here. I assure you though, that there are many different styles of aero products for the Z30 soarer ranging from VIP style, to sporty style, to funky style.

Default Hey man

Some of the body kits do resemble each other but you can see that some are made with more quality than others. For instance, the Auto Couture kit will give you a more distinguished look than say, a vertex knock off kit. If you want to look like one of those Shogun Honda Body Kits, go ahead and get a Erebuni kit. That's only if you want your car to look like an insect.

Too many holes make the car look ricey. I have noticed the trend but I think thats mainly because they have good taste. The vertex body gives the SC a very clean simple elegant, yet aggresive look. After all it is a luxury car. I know back then they used to make quite a few bodykits for the SC. If you would like to take a look at all of them that were ever made go to Intellexual.net . There is also a thread floating around here on that subject.
