well im getting my soarertt front half in next month right after i get back from iraq and ive read the jzz30 (soarertt) has bigger brakes than my sc300 jzz31. so i was thinking of swappin my front brakes with them, but i was wondering if anyone can confirm and help with a few things concerning the soarertt front brakes..
1)i read that they are 2pot like the sc300, but they are just a little bit bigger, not 4pot like the supratt and the ls400
2)so if thats the case what kind of rotors and brake pads do i get for them, like is there a US equivalent, mayby they are the same as the sc400 brakes?
im basically trying to buy some rotors and pads for the soarer front brakes and need to know if i can look under a different car application that will fit.
thanks, bryan
and btw, i know its a cheap way to go but has anyone had experience with or knowledge of those steel brake lines on ebay, magnum brand i think

The only thing I can think of is that they probably use the SC400 brakes in the TT's over there....
Your 300 has smaller/weaker brakes then the stock 400's I believe...
So the clip you bought is most likely coming with a sc4 calipers... there will be an increase in your stopping distance but not by much.. if your going to be boosted you need something like a LS4 or Supra TT upgrade, the SC4 brakes are also pretty inadequate for our cars...
I've read that the brakes used in the 1JZ Soarers are the same size as our USDM SC400 brakes (which are indeed a little larger than the SC300 units).
I just ordered rotors and pads (in the SC400 size) for my car, which has front Soarer brakes. I'll let you know if they work or not... I plan to do the brake job over the weekend.
