Default New Interior Pics

I finally worked up the scrotal fortitude to do the Leatherseats.com install myself. Everything's done with the exception of the armrests in the doors. Total time invested for the front seats, back seat and center console: 18 hours. It ain't perfect, but it sure looks better than the 10 year old interior it replaced.

Thanks for the tips on picture posting. Thanks to those of you who offered to post them for me. I shipped them to SC3... for resizing and posting. The cost of front and rear seats? Not sure, but call Leatherseats.com and they'll quote you a price. I got these during the last group buy here, which should tell everyone how long they stayed in the box waiting to be installed. I finally decided around Christmas to do it myself, because I didn't want to shell out another $750 for someone else to install them. The Price for the package from Leatherseats.com was just under $900 for the front and rear seats with perforated suede seating surfaces, center console cover, door armrests, and a new parking brake boot cover. The end result is very satisfying, but not perfect. The key to installing is: Be patient and take your time. You have to cut the leather in some places for clips and bolts, and you have to cut the plastic grooves that fit under the seat bottoms to make them fit. There's some tugging, pulling, cursing and several 'time out' moments. All in all: A '6' on a '10' difficulty scale. Worth it.

Default Interior Pictures posted in Gallery

Pictures of Leatherseats.com leather interior posted in gallery. 1995 black SC400. Front and rear seats, perforated suede seating surfaces, center console cover and parking brake boot. Still to do: Door armrests and headrests. The headrests are in good shape and aren't noticeable (until you see them in the pictures!) Cost: $900. Time invested: 18 hours. Level of Difficulty: 6 out of 10. Definitely do it yourself stuff. Jeremy: No big problems. I was overall very happy with the kit.

Thanks for the props, guys. Suede inserts trendy? Dunno. that was not my intention. Living in Florida with leather seats is rough during the summer, and I was hoping the suede would provide a more comfortable seating surface. I was concerned about durability, but Jeremy at Leatherseats.com assured me it holds up quite well. If anyone else chooses to take this on, let me know and I'll feed you some tips. Cheers!
