Does your SC have crappy handling?
For the OP's question: The only other cars I have owned were an Acura and a Civic, which were both modded-- my stock SC300 handles as good as or better than both of them, and that is saying a lot since I spent about $1K on my civics suspension.

If an SC handles bad, a Supra handles bad-- they're just heavy-- a heavy car feels like it handles bad. They don't though I promise.
Little BTCC cars like G20's/primera's and Acuras can be stripped down to 2000 lbs or pretty close, and with good tires and a stiff suspension, those things will flip over before the tires let go, so compared to an F1 car or a BTCC car, yeah they handle bad, but compared to a Lincoln or a truck, or any other american built sedan, they're awesome at handling curves.
With the right suspension mods (coilovers) and the right tires, and MOST importantly, the right DRIVER, they're proven to be tough to beat on a track, but you need to do something with the power/weight ratio-- oh, and be ready to buy tires pretty often, as these heavy pigs will eat them for lunch.

Compared to my S2000, yes, it sucks.. Then again, 90% of the cars out there suck in handling compared to the S2k so it's not a fair comparison.. Even my MR2 sitting on upgraded bilsteins and wheel/tires doesn't hold a candle to the S2k when it comes to handling. Can't overcome the sheer weight of the SC no matter what you do. But overall, I think the SC handles well considering how heavy it is.

Can't our sc300's handling be vastly improved over stock with the following "fairly inexpensive" upgrades?:
Suspension (shocks/springs/coilovers/control arms/sway bars, etc)
Wheels + Tires & proper alignment
Chassis bracing & stiffening (floor support bars, fender ties, etc)
LS400/Supra TT brakes w/ stainless steel lines

Sc is a great car for what it comes with.
I think anybody that thinks an SC handles bad is nuts--
As far as control arms, the uppers interchange with an MK3 supra, the lowers interchange with an MK4 supra--
The rears are all different--

I have to add, I had TERRIBLE handling when stock. I had daizen springs/tokicos and my handlign was ok, then I went back to stock. And handling was so bad that I didnt want to drive the car.
After some steering rack bushings and TT sway bars, the car feels like a different car. Its now very responsive and predictable. Even with oem springs/struts.
I still have crazy body roll, but nothing some coilovers cant take care of.
