The manifold is stock, but 8 additional injectors have been installed on a piggy back system. They come on with boost to ad the extra fuel.
The Turbos are toyota ct-26's the first set was off of an mr2 smaller ct-26's with a split exhaust housing. I made 371 RWHP at 7 PSI with these.
Currently I have ct-26's off a a supra. these are slightly larger, and I made 510RWHP at 17PSI
Wow im very impressed. Looks like the UZ is really capable.
Yeah idrewfelix. the only negitive of the 1UZ, and all the UZ series is no aftermarket support.
the head design is basically the same as a 2jz .
the first gen 1UZ has very strong rods just as the 2J. the later versions loose weight, but also strength.
The 1UZ has the added advantage of an aluminum block instead of iron to save weight, and the bottom end is very well designed for being an aluminum block (6 bolt mains). but if you are trying to really make big HP the truck 2UZ is iron. although some guys have made 2000HP in marine applications on the 1UZ.
Plus the 1UZ has 33% more displacement vs the 2JZ which is the reason I've made the HP per psi that I did.
althouth the 2JZ will probably remain king until Toyota designs something new.
Just wish the 1UZ had more of the aftermarkets support like the 2J
Do any of you guys have info in regards to the A341A 93-98 Supra TT automatic transmission swapped into a 1992 SC400?...What it takes to get it done and any pro's and con's to this swap?...Trying to find out as much info as possible about this swap before I load up the truck with a used one.....It looks like a go for me, as the ECU tranny codes match between the two cars.. Subrames are identical so I would imagine the mounts and bolt patterns are the same....I am running on a 1995 Supra auto TT LSD now....So with a 500whp holding capacity, better shifting and greater performance when compared with the stock sc400 auto trannies, the swap is a no brainer..right? . Any help fellas?

Bob, nice numbers on your car... Of course, I already knew your numbers because I have followed up so closely on your project...
I agree, no aftermarket support on these cars... It sure makes turboing the 1UZFE much more challenging...But, once enough of us pave the way to turboing this engine, I believe we will see some additional parts come across the market...
Can't wait to see your car after it is completed...
But could i get away with spending 7 to 10 k on a turbo car... I'd really like a SC to keep the lexus name and some of your guys SC's are incrediable looking..
Are you asking 7-10k for just the turbo, or including the car? V8 or Straight 6?
