I want to hear from everyone on this... SC300 auto vs. manual, SC400 auto and SC300 swapped or turboed.

I'm getting about 20-26 MPG now with my ****ty 2.2L SOHC VTEC motor now with compression of 8.8:1... for how little power I'm making, that gas mileage sucks.

If anyone in the turbo club is getting 17-25 MPG, I'll be VERY happy...

I get between 18-26 mpg depending on how I'm driving. I hear the turboed SC's get even better mileage.

The SC400 actually gets BETTER MPG than the SC300. You can get about 18-28mpg out of the SC400.

It all really depends on how you drive it.

You will find the average person gets the following:
92-97 SC300 Auto- 18-22mpg (Avg. 20mpg)
92-97 SC300 Man- 16-23mpg (Avg. 19mpg)
92-97 SC400 Auto- 17-24mpg (Avg. 21mpg)
98+ SC400 Auto- 18-24mpg (Avg. 22mpg)
98+ SC300 Auto- 18-23mpg (Avg. 21.5mpg)

yea, there are a lot of us. about 8 or 9 of us got together a few weeks ago at waterford... https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=189183

there are 3 of us that live just north of UCF on allafeya, and one that is just south of UCF. then there are two just down collonial. we are always in the waterford area.

well, since you are a door man at Paris, then you can hook us up with VIP and free drinks all night right? a few of us were actually talking about going there tonight, but there are a few ppl under 21.

oh, let me know if you would be interested in a gold 5-speed for sale.. needs some TLC inside, but the exterior is perfect and has new paint. pm me for details. good luck with your search.

I have to try to get the night off... I work security at Club Paris downtown, so you guys might see me there. Out of the three white guys who work security, I'm the one that looks most like an a-hole.

Any of you guys go to UCF? Anyone care to meet up near Waterford Lakes on Alafaya? I can't believe there's so many of you guys locally. No wonder I can't find a used one around (aside from this white 5-speed)... everyone's an enthusiast!

A turbo that gets better gas mileage? I'm quite curious... we talking the Supra motor, or the stock 3.0L inline-6 that's been turboed?

I'm liking it... any of you guys use SeaFoam? If not... you guys are in for a world of change....

I drive my Accord pretty hard, but that's because it has no power. I'd think with a little bit more "getup-n-go" in an SC, it'll take less effort to get it moving.

How much to they weigh, on average? Doesn't matter between full tank of gas or not... just curious for a ballpark. I've been told about 3600 lbs.

My Accord weighs a disgusting 3200lbs. 145hp and 147ft-lbs just doesn't quite cut it in a heavy FWD automobile... that factory slushbox didn't help either... but I jimmyed on a Prelude tranny...

Actually, I'm on the floor at the moment. You'll see me standing near one of the three stages trying not to crack a smile as some drunk chick is literally rubbing her *** against the back of my head.

Saturday nights are tough... no guys under 21. I can't get you VIP or drinks for free... but if I'm around, I might be able to get you guys upstairs for free...

Sorry, I know I'm tripple-posting.

Anyone have any experience with turboing an SC400? Not asking cause I want to do it, but in theory, if the I6 block is good enough, a V8 wouldn't be too shabby either... just curious.

It's been done... Link

but you will have a hard time trying to mount it as there is very limited room under the hood.

Some have mounted it under the car in the back.... Wouldn't recommend this has you would have to go WAY above and beyond to fabricate everything needed.

Stick with what's bolt on and you will be HAPPY

Yeah, I wasn't really thinking of doing it.

No manual transmission = no fun for me.

5-speed first, turbo later.

there is a member here in orlando that is working on his turbo V8. that would make it easy to see what it takes. we are also working on mating up the supra V160 6 speed to the 1UZ motor. im sure you will be arround, so we will keep you posted (although he keeps his thread updated regularly).

oh wait... no free VIP or free drinks... nevermind, we cant chill with you. just kidding bro. its all good, we will stick with ROXY on thursdays.

ROXY's where the ladies are at on Thursdays... but if you were to see me working where I do on the floor, nothing beats my job.
