I think that W58 could have held a bit more power, but i was really rough on it. I kinda used it as a guinea pig to see what the car liked and didnt like. It always felt fine through the gears, and i did a few quick burnouts to see how it reacted. It didnt break till i was doin some hard 5th gear pulls on the highway

The new W58 im gonna put in has half the mileage of my old one. Im gonna try and make 650+ and run the car on a tire with that trans. The motor/rear has 155K and is holding up strong. Just dont beat the 58 like its a getrag and they should live a decent life. In was using redline mt90, but im gonna use Royal Purple synchro-max in this one. Also the shifter bushing mod made the trans feel like new

Thanks for the compliments everybody

looks great.. i was wondering what the latest was with this project. congrats on getting it up and running. have fun with those W58s. you should try the R154 before the getrag, so we can get a good limit with that tranny too. there is a thread on how to make the supra MKIII R154 work in the SC. keep up the good work!

That spot works great! I only have the wideband, no other gauges and it keeps the interior looking nice and clean

I was thinking about the R154 and would rock one if i came across it cheap/easy. Realistically ill end up with the 6 or an auto with a big converter

Thanks again guys, glad everyone is feelin it
