What's My Car Worth?
I bought my car last year in September, so I've had it 13months or so.
Purchased it for around $8500..
Probably spent $5000 on it this year.. rebuilt transmission, plus abother $1500 in work.
It's a 1993 in great shape, just need new backlights, not a big deal, otherwise the car has had everything replaced, entire new suspension, engine updated with all maintence, all fluids are new, LSD was added.
I'm kinda contemplating keeping this and getting another vehicle, or could I still get decent money for this car in its shape?
I'm I guess the word is backwards in it.
It's a coupe, so it's kinda sketchy when something big goes wrong with it, cuz I'll outgrow it.
My new business requires something with more of a trunk, or just room to pick stuff up in. I transport alot of big screen TV's and large merchandise. My business partners have an F250 and an avalanche.
Being a V8/SC4, I'm not gaining anything by having a coupe with gas prices so that does nothing for me.
I just dont think it's going to be worth much to sell at this point with 155k on the odometer.
If I get into something else around the same price range, you can also get into a 98 or something newer, and possibly safer, and I could track down something that hold down cargo.
On my audi, I added up all the mods and took like 50% of their retail value and clumped it into the car, but I havent done much to this car, it's really in great stock shape plus full suspension.
At this point if I'm into the car for almost $12-13k, is it time to realize I should be keeping this car, now that I've overhauled everything on it and plan on keeping it for a long time to come, or if my needs have changed should I let someone else enjoy it?

Im in the same boat (kind of). Just bought mine 3-4 months ago, for $7500, put another, $800 in it. And the best offer Ive had is $5500(which I laughed at).
Keep in mind, my car is show condition, but w/ 130K mi.

If your city is listed on Craigslist.com, then you should place an ad in their domain. A girl at the office said she sold her '99 Eclipse GS-T for asking price and said it was sold within a week.
Good luck!
