Default SC400 Single Exit Exhaust

I was just wondering if it would be a good idea to run a single exit exhaust on an sc400.
Or would it be better to leave it at a dual exhaust setup?
Any kind of advice would be appreciated.

Thx!

if you're okay with the extra hole being open, then it's not a bad idea at all. we've had members run single exit exhaust on the board for weight savings. certainly doable.

Personally I would never single pipe a V8. You wouldn't really benefit at all from single piping it.
IMO SC300- Single, SC400 - Dual

If you are thinking about changing your exhaust setup, don't. Yours is pretty much perfect the way it is.

Hmmm interesting. That might be pretty sweet. I would like to see that actually, cuz I have that muffler and used to have a SC400 with magnaflows.

The mufflers are ok but the 2.5" pipe is way to large and will hurt low and mid RPM power and response. Optimized 2.00" will work very well on a stock engine the critical parts are the intersections and merges. 2.25" is the largest you want to run.
