Did your airbags deploy? assuming they did not, you probably wont get as much and probably wont even need a lawyer. But hey, never hurts to get a lawyer...good things may come of it.

Man, are you even reading the thread? He said he was rear ended and he hit the lady in front of him. Forget reading the thread, did you see the pictures? His front end is messed up. So I was in fact correct in asking if his airbags popped. Or was I just imagining things.

Thumbs up More info...

No my airbags did not deploy. The damage looks minor from the pictures, but in person it is obvious that something is twisted. As you all know, the fit and finish of a lexus is as close to perfect that can be found. ALL of the gaps on the body panels are off now. The way that the exhaust was sent under the car leads me to believe that there are going to be some problems to be discovered. It will be hard to find another 2000 coupe. I saw the thread that talked about selling your coupe and what everybody's thought were. I was in the market for a new car a few months ago, but the 2005 G35 and 350Z were nowhere near the quality of my 2000 Lex. I planned on keeeping it for a long time due to the already classic body design. I will have more information after I get some quotes from the body shop. Thank you all for your support. Stay safe.

Just one more note to add. The SC felt like a tank when I was hit. The quality of our whips goes way beyond the visual and mechanical aspect of a Lexus. Very impressive. My Dr. even mentioned that I was luck to be in that type of car.

Hey RooDig,
I just saw your car in the back by the wash bay. It was damaged pretty good. The pics hide a lot of the smaller, more complicated damage. The rear quarters are creased, rear bumper was torn off the brackets that mount it to the body panel. The trunk is now way off alignment. Your passenger side muffler was pushed into the suspension area and hopefully none of that is messed up. I would suspect that there is also damage in the trunk area, like the spare compartment. The front high beams blew out, glass everywhere. Good thing the headlamps appear to have no damage to them. The front bumper was pushed in underneath the hood and I think you'll need a new front grille. Other than that, the rest of the car held up very well. Let's hope nothing is wrong with the tranny or the frame. What a bummer dude. I cruised the same stretch of road yesterday and I was careful as heck.

*Note*
I saw Roodiggy going southbound on the PCH and saw the wreck only a few minutes after it happened. Kinda crazy because I knew it was him.

Sue the living hell out of her man. That's ridiculous! She was following THAT closely and never even had time to brake?! Probably too busy jaw-jackin' on the damn cell phone. That's inexcusable. Especially on a strip like PCH.

Mind if I ask what she said once all the parties exited their cars and exchanged information? I'm always curious to know what the idiot who causes a wreck has to say for themselves...usually they try to blame it on something other than their own stupidity or lack or proper driving space

What was she driving? Hopefully something that showed she has money...because she owes you another 2000 SC.

She was driving a Jetta dude,
And her whip was toast...LoL...

She was driving at an estimated 30-40 mph and hit Reuben at that full force, no brakes applied...

Dude,
peeps in this area need to stay off that damn cell phone. I saw a dude changing across 4 lanes without looking while on his cell phone during rush hour traffic on the 405 in front of LAX! I was doggin him hard. As if these drivers need another distraction.

When she got out of her car she asked "what happened?' That was it!

When people are behind me, I tap it couple times whenever I see traffic ahead or before I stop to get their attention

you guys are nuts ... sue for what? The person is just going to turn it over to their insurance, who will come out and give a check based on the estimate to fix the car. What then exactly are you going to sue for?

good luck with the repairs
