LSD make some of the best Lambo Style doors http://www.lsd-doors.de/index_e.php . Apparently the quality of craftsmanship, ease of installation etc is second to none.

I think i'll let this thread stay open for a while, we'll see where it goes, or if it drops off.

Search for previous threads to find out why.

Paco, please go look at some of the pictures of SC's with scissor doors. It looks very out of place. But if you still see fit, I can't stop you. Just remember, our doors are VERY heavy. Make sure you are doing something to prevent the hinge mechanism from giving way and resulting in a door breaking your leg when it assuredly comes crashing back down.

Agreed. The doors are about twenty thousand lbs. Careful of losing limbs and such. I'm guessing some sort of hydraulic struts would work.

I don't recall the doors on the `94 SC400 that I used to own weighing that much. However, I remember the Lexus salesman who sold me the car telling me that, due to the size and weight of the door, Lexus had to design a special hinge and had received a patent for that design and for the manner in which the hinge works.

My two cents: don't do it.

depending on your model year, the doors might be even heavier - in 96 lexus added extra bracing to meet 1997 federal standards for side impacts

oops i guess LSD doesnt make a kit for us. i would say stay away from ebay kits. they never bolt up correctly. u will end up messing up or fenders. and the shocks go out on them. if its really what u want then do a lil more research on a good quality kit.

K....WHY?

its not a Lambo......nor will it ever be.
.....I see cars with the Lambo doors and have to ask............WHY?
a "sleek" car yes.!! a Coupe or Sedan...NO!!!. And definately NOT a Hummer or Yukon.....

Lambo doors wouldnt even look right on a Vette... and Lamborghini opted for "normal" doors on the Gallardo.

seems like good money after bad results IMO........

It depends on your intentions.

If you want it to look cool and be like those **** at nopi, then yes you're retarded.

If you want it because you're sick of how our doors cant open all the way without hitting the car next to you, then good for you.
