Default Supra Seats finally installed!!!

Installation was a piece of cake. 5 bolts each seat, direct fit The driver did need a little modding for the power features to work. The stock and supra harnesses are incompatible so I just pulled the two large (blue and white) power wires from the stock harness and plugged them into the supra harness. Works flawlessly.

Finnaly some headroom! The seats are very supportive and just wrap you in when sitting. Yes you lose some power options and the heaters but they give you more headroom and comfort and save around 70lbs. Leather matches perfect too.

Don't forget Leatherseats.com has a group buy over at supraforums every 6 to 8 months. So a color change is always possible There are alot of options with these seats.

Very cool, this really intrigues me, however, I like and use each of the seat adjustments and the memory feature of my SC300 Leather. Though I would like them to be more snug around my body and the weight savings are worthy as well.

What specific power options are lost? Are these factory leather? Most Supras seem to be black .

That does look sweet and I'd like to find the same color seats to do the same thing to my SC300. If any body has a line on a set in Cal. let me know because I'm very interested. As far as the color conversion goes do they only sell the leather seat back & bottom covers? What do people do about changing the color of the other parts of the seat? Paint?

On a side note does any one know of other aftermarket seats that come in a tan that would match the inside of a tan SC300?

Thanks,
Justin

I have the same supra seats but I jumped in on the supraforums group buy.

Most parts for the seats can be bought piece meal. The seats I bought were missing the buttons so I bought some from Elmhurst Toyota. When I installed my seats, I lost the memory function and heated seat option.

A great deal can always be found on supraforums and often times in our classified section here on Clublexus. Just be patient a diamond in the rough will always appear.

Scoupe,
The seats are stock leather. Tan interior Supra's are pretty common. Power functions you lose are power lumbar, heat, tilt and up/down. I never used these much after setting my seat so no big loss.

Toynut,
The tan Supra leather matches up very well if not exactly with the stock lexus tan. Color might vary slightly depending on how used seats were worn.

My sc300 came with supra seats and they are definatly a great improvement over the crappy stock seats. You sit lower, so you get some head clearence (may not be an issue if you are short ,<6ft, but I dont think I could fit with a helmet and stock seats).

Thumbs down

Most of my friends and family all enjoy my power seats and think thats the main "attraction" to my car (besides the "al mighty flip down cupholder") If I lose that, my car wouldn't be any special to my friends (example a corolla, rsx, tc, etc...) What the hell is our car without power seats? An ugly lexus with 20 spoke 16 inch rims and crappy paint. (doesn't apply to all, but you get the drift)

Sorry but no poorman's racing seats.

What is it with the flip down cup? Its like people like to pull it down.. and stare at it.. put it back then pull it down.. and stare at it.. then flick the sides..

100 bucks though...
