Tyoe SC, I hate to not give you a direct answer, but this subject has been very popular. I myself had the light bulb out behind the LCD (note difference between that and having the actual LCD, black graphics, gone). Anyways, search function this section as well as the maintenance section. You have opitons ranging from buying another LCD panel ($$$$) or taking it apart and doing some soldering.
Good luck!

Don't know if this will help or not and as I type this the car is probably listening and going to act up again....but one of my lights (the far left on) on the screen went out, not noticable during the day, but plain aggravating at night. So I did what I did to my wife's previous car (a dodge peon) and smacked the dash panel right above where the light was out. And presto light came back on and no problems since. Been over a month.

good luck though I will probably replace my lights if it goes out again.
