Hey all, figure I'll throw my two cents in. I have a na-t Supra which is basically identical to your SC300's. I've had a Powerhouse turbo kit (Toyomoto manifold), and am currently running a SP header and SP63 turbo. I've talked with several Fmax kit owners, and none of them were happy with it.

I can't imagine why Lance says 550's don't idle well. I've been running them for a couple years now (along with the VPC) and they idle perfectly. All you need is the 550 VPC chip for a MKIII Supra. BTW, the injectors are high impedance.

If any of you are interested in the SP header, I have pics of it at www.speedtoys.com/~daveh/93na-t

Dave, what are your impressions (on the street and track) of the Powerhouse/Toyomoto v.s. the SP63 + SP manifold?

I've been interested for awhile in the SP63 setup.

The SP63/SP header spools a lot faster than the T66/Toyomoto manifold did. Since I changed them both out at the same time, I can't really say if the turbo made all of the difference, or if the header helped also. Just based on trap speeds, the two setups are making real similar hp at the same boost levels. Since my car is a auto now (more driveline loss) I'd guess that the SP setup is actually making a little more hp, since my trap speeds were about identical.

Also, FYI the Toyomoto manifold needs a spacer if you want to use a big T turbo. Otherwise the compressor housing hits the manifold.

For the folks here with auto trannies, SP also makes a helluva upgraded tranny/converter. So don't think you can't go turbo because you have a auto. It is awful expensive though.

thx for the info dave

i saw SC300TURBOs car at NOPI... I'm now thinking of moving to Atlanta I liked the city so much...

How much is the Powerhouse kit?

Does anyone know if the Toyomoto manifold can be bought seperately? I'm thinking of forgoing the T04E-60 and getting a full T60-1 turbo instead... then getting a haltech and 720s, a custom FMIC that matches the specs of the toyomoto or fmax fmic and the piping from one of the kits

what do you guys think?

Haltech with all the stuff I need will cost around $1300 from a place I know of... the turbo will cost about $1200
FMIC about $400, how much do you guys think the ic piping and downpipe is?

If you're thinking of T60-1, why not just go with an SP60? Its basically a suped up Garrett design that is ported, massaged a little bit.

BTW, Bean, the turbo I have is a non-split, tangent, T60-1 P trim with .58AR... I thought it was 0 trim but its not.
I think you'll need a 1/2" spacer with the Toyomoto manifold on anything T60 or larger.

The SP60 is only like $1200.

I don't know how much either manifold costs on its own.
