Noise Coming From Suspension After Spring Install
After re-installing my new Eibach and Tokico springs and struts yesterday, I notice my car creeks and “bongs” over bumps and dips in the road. I checked over everything to make sure it was screwed in tightly and torque to specs.
Strange thing is, I didn’t encounter this noise problem when my friends and I had accidently reversed my F and R springs two days ago. After getting the springs the right way yesterday, I notice this problem (most of the sound is coming from the front suspension).
Does anyone have any suggestions? Only thing I did different the second time around was leave ¼-1/2” inch gap from the bottom coil and lower strut cap end – as suggested by Eibach. Anyone encounter this problem? Are there suppose to be rubber isolator pieces on the bottom of the springs? The noise is ruining the driving experience.
FYI: I bought the parts for MKIV Supra to put on my SC3 and the drop is PERFECT. The front and rear’s are even in wheel gap, the tires sits a tad in the fender walls.
