Default Anyone with SC 400 audio system problems?

I have a 95 SC 400 and the radio has some issues, the amp, the cd player and some of the speakers. I want to keep the dash with the factory look but have been told i can't add a different amp or cd changer to it. can anyone suggest what i should do. should i get the dealership to switch out the radio, cd changer and amp and spend thousands? thx

its not that hard to install aftermarket stereo compnents into the sc.....the hard part is making it look good as there are no specifically made pockets for the sc3 and 400s.....everything you could need to know on how to hook one up is here you just need to search and collect all your information....

Thanks. I was wondering if there was any way to put an aftermarket in and make it look good at the same time.

What about just getting a switchout on the radio and adding stuff to it, amps. subs, etc.
Can that be done?

Word. But the stock headunit sends such an unclean signal compared to aftermarket HU's. If you want a good system you'll need to go all out with a new HU, 4 new speakers, subwoofer, and aftermarket amp for the sub. As for making the HU look clean, theres alot of different ways to do it, check out how I did mine https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=172832

Default That looks good!

Can you do it again? In my car? LOL

For the longest I didn't think my Dad was going to give or sell the SC to me so it caught me off guard when he did. I am used to driving old camrys and 626's where the sound didn't matter. now even with a 95 lex, i need to keep it up in and outside. it hurts me to see even the first year model look or sound bad so i definitely want to keep mine up.
i think i need to find a mentor in this room to work with me. LOL

i have pics in the gallery but haven't figured out how to keep it in my signature.
