Here's some tires that have treated me well over the years.

Toyo Proxes
Nitto NT555 Extreme
Falken Ziex ZE512

Hope this helps. And post some pics when you get them on!

Default Twin Cars...

From what you wrote, I can show you what your setup is going to look like. Mines White, dropped 1.5 " , 8X18 in front 9X19 in back with the same offset as you mentioned, 245/265 (I have Falken GRBs) When I first put them on, I heard a slight buzzing sound for a few minutes. The sound I heared was the little "hairs" that are on new tires being shaved off by the fender lips (my fenders aren't rolled) I got lucky not to get any wider wheel & tire setup. They don't stick out or even come flush to the wells but any more and they will rub.

Just ordered tires from discount tire direct. Got a set of Falken Ziex ZE-512 245/40's and 265/35's w/ valve stems, shipped to my house for 584.

Do the Hp Evos require a different type of lug nuts, or will the stock ones work?

stock lugs won't fit, itll be better to use those lugs with a special adapter to open like mines so you wont get jacked. just be careful not to use those free cheap lug.

this is what i had to do with the lugs i had before to take out my wheels. which scratched up my rims pretty bad

Very good point. Get Gorilla tuner lugs or check out TMEngineering.net for the McGuard tuner lugs and locks. I bought some from them in a group buy Todd set up a while back. They are the best lug nuts I've ever used.

Here's the thread.

Default Hub rings (I think)

Be sure to get the hubcentric rings adapters or what ever you call those aluminum rings that centers the wheel perfectly to the hub. I wasn't even aware of these untill my wheel guy showed them to me as he did the install. Not only do they perfectly center the wheel to the hub, they make putting on the lugz a hell of a lot easier. I allways thought the lugs would center the wheel as I bolted them on. now I know why I had random vibes on my Vette ( no rings). You guys are all thinking duh! you didn't know about the rings? Well, I didn't and thought I'd mention it Just in case.

I normaly I dont go for wheels of this style but thought HPs compliment the classy lines SC. One look at INDYPWRs SC and I was done looking for wheels.

Looking forward to your Pics !

cshinmori,

I noticed you had a late model 1998-up SC. I have a 1998 SC400 with the same Diamond Pearl white color. I was just curios as to what type of suspension setup you have in order to get the 1.5 drop. Please let me know.

Cshinmori, could you please post a pic of your sled from the side? I want to see how the 18's in the front looks with the 19's in the back. I'm about to do the same thing with my SC. Thanks!!!

Het NPSC303,

Sorry about that, I made a typo... I have 18s on all four, 8.5s in front and 9.5s in back.
