im getting ready to do a 2jz swap into my 97 sc300, im keeping it an automatic because i want the consistency and its cheaper and easier to swap,what are the tranny codes for the sc300 and the supra tt? i plan on making around 700 rwhp on a twin gt2835 set up so i need to know how much the stock tt automatic will handle, my power goal wont be reached for a while but i would rather get everything ready for it so i dont have to fix as many things soon after

Considering you will be using the TT Auto ECU - I'd use the tt tranny...

Not only that, your 97 auto transmission won't work with 2JZ-GTE even if you had the right ECU.

thats why i was asking, because i wasnt sure if the lexus tranny would work, let alone even handle the stock 2jz-gte power for very long. ill just get a boostlogic built transmission when the time comes to upgrade

 

will the tt auto tranny bolt up to the stock ge motor from an sc?and if so does any one have the measurements for the drive shaft that will have to be made?

 

if a 2jz-ge auto tranny wont bolt up to a 2jz-gte, then im thinking a 2jz-gte auto tranny wont bolt up to a 2jz-ge, and a question of my own, will the stock sc300 driveshaft bolt up to the 2jz-gte tranny or will i need a supra driveshaft or a custom driveshaft? there needs to be more info posted about 2jz-gte automatic swaps, it seems theres only 6-speed swap info, especially because i plan on doing this swap myself because i dont really feel like paying $5k for someone else to do it when i have my own shop anyway so why not, right?

 

Ive posted plenty of info on the gte auto swaps. The GE and GTE trannys both bolt up. The blocks are indentical minus few internal differences. Just the GTE tranny is built more stout and can handle little more power reliably vrs the ge tranny.

On the driveshaft, alot of people use the sc400 d/s on the gte tranny.

Are you going to be running the NA or TT diff?

 

for now ill be running the na diff but the 400 drive shaft will really work?

 

You guys are missing the point on using the opposite trannies - they are a bit different. You will have some trouble using the GE tranny with a TT ECU & vice-versa.....

 

thats why im running aem ems i spoke with an aem tech and he told me that the ems for my car would controll this tranny but they are four wire from the tranny that must be tapped into the ecu i also spoke with kean who just did this same set up with a customers sc300 so the ecu/ tranny mixture isnt a problem im simply trying to find the cheapest way to do a drive shaft

 

TurboB6 is right on the SC400 drive shaft. You will need a second flex coupler also. The wiring is easy also. I made-up a cable to the AEM
