well, i've only had the SC for a few months, but have done some lil stuff. here are a couple pics.


removed corner lens, painted side marker. (looks way better in person, trust me)
also used chrome corner bulbs that flash amber. love em


junk yard wing and shaved antenna. neither have professional paint, but works till then.
shaved myself, will get redone when the car gets the kit and caddy white pearl paint

haha, i know man. that will be one of my next mods. car is high and floaty. so a drop and new bushings, etc... is def coming soon.

 

That was my suggestion. How is the radio reception without the antenna? That's pretty sweet...

 

no radio, lol.

i will either install a window mount antenna along the back window, like THIS ONE or i think the 97+ SCs have them in the glass of the back window. i may look into that seeing how my brother installs auto glass. but yeah, no radio, but i couldn't bare that 5 foot tall antenna anymore, haha.

I have that same color, how did you shave the antenna and what kind of paint did you use to blend it in ?

i used a bondo patch on the back, and then just bondo'd it.

the paint is actually just a rattle can from meijer, haha. i lucked out and was able to find a green that matched really well. you can totally tell its a patched area, but it works for now. i would suggest spraying some black first. cuz i noticed on my wing, the green matches much better cuz the wing was black from the junkyard. and bondo is a pale peach/tan color, so the green looks a lil lighter.

 

The trim ring that came with the Sony wouldn't fit around it when it's installed, I'm guessing? The stereo looks so-so, but I'm sure it's difficult to fill that gap in. I'm going to attempt this myself in some time, and I'm not looking forward to that gap!

Props to the beginning of the mods! Nothing like making it your own! Keep it up!

 

yeah, trim ring didn't fit. it looks pretty raw in those pics. cuz the flash really lit up inside there, but you don't see any of that silver normally. its just from the flash lighting it up. and yeah, that gap sucks, lol. its only temporary till i do the black swap and FG a center area with a flush nav screen etc. but, it was either that or tape deck, so, yeah.

 

the car looks pretty rice to me...
painted turn signal lights(wtf), shaved antenna, and a shoehorned in radio with big gaps around it.. with stock rims with no center caps, unlowered, no engine mods.

I can get u a set of 18in G35 rims with brand new tires for $400 in orlando. You can lower the car for probably under $100 bucks if u do good shopping (used supra lowering springs, supra rear struts).

Sorry for being a hater, but i dont like ur mods, too hondaish... All you did is deface the car, didnt add anything to it.

 

whatever, thats fine. sorry i wasn't able to drop 15,000 bucks into my car considering i've only had it for like, 2 months. if you wanna send over some cash, i'd be MORE THAN HAPPY to get some rims, a drop and my GTE swap going.

antennas are ugly
and i've stated once the radio is a temporary

next time i buy a car, i'll be sure to save an additional 15k to mod it in the first 3 days.

 

I don't know about trusting you on that one. If anything, photos usually hide imperfections easily picked up in person. Ask anyone that bought their car over the internet.

And if you can't handle some criticism, maybe you shouldn't be posting your handiwork.
