Been spending too much time on the GS forum and have lost track of what mods are currently available for the '02 SC430..

1. Is there a lowering spring/shock kit available as of yet??
2. Any engine mods yet.. Intake perhaps??

Just trying to get some ideas before my car arrives.. Any help would be appreciated..

For current SC430 owners I forget how the exhaust sounds.. All I remember is it didn't sound as nice as the Z3 (M Edition)..

Thanks!

How long is your wait for your car, Savvy?

Are you planning on switching out the rims?

Exhaust note on SC430 is OK..Not loud, or particularly throaty, but it does make itself noticed when accelerating. Quiet at cruise. It is perfect for the car, but not enthusiastic.

Rims are in their boxes just waiting to be put on the car when it arrives in late September (maybe).. Dealer still hasn't given me a hard date for arrival.. Last word that I heard was Lexus was having a hard time sourcing Leather due to MAD COW disease.. When I heard that I started to laugh but I called around and that is what they say is true.. The Lowenharts were bought for the SC.. Not really sure if they would fit on the GS or not.. Can't try since I have no rubber for the rims.. Gonna swap out the runflats and put them on the rims when the car lands..
As for the wait I ordered the car on May 14.. Some bozo up here paid in excess of 110k Canadian for a Silver on Black SC.. Car had like 50 miles on it and from what I hear the guys wife fell in love with it and offered the owner 30k over sticker.. (Allocation to Canada was only 350 cars)

BTW how does your mufflers sound??
Too quiet?? Just right??

Genearch,

Any idea on pricing for the suspension from L-Sportline and how much of a drop is it??

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback.. I've got the MOD bug from the GS guys.. Pondering ways to improve my baby and she hasn't even been delivered.. Maybe down the line I might do a Borla exhaust or wait till someone makes one specifically for the SC..

Genearch,

Well from one car guy to another I don't think you are nuts.. The only thing I did to my garage was to put a rubberized tile down on the floor to form a checkered flag.. Looks pretty funky and is functional.. I'll grab the digital camera from work and take some pics for you.. When your done please take some photos for me.. Would love to see how it turns out..

Ok back to the SC suspension.. The $1,200 kit sounds like the route I would go as well.. Wonder how long it would take to get it when I do order.. Does L-Sportline have any pics of a SC with the full suspension.. Would love to see what I could be buying.. I thought long and hard about going with 19 or 20 but with such a small wheelbase car putting bigger wheels than 18 takes away from that beautiful SC body lines IMO..

Out of your 2 wheel choices I would go with the Model V.. If that is the one with the tear drop where the lugnuts are then that's my pick.. Either way you go you can't go wrong..

Its very annoying waiting for this car to arrive.. Especially with the weather being so nice..
With my luck i'll get it when winter hits here.. LOL

Thumbs up

Ok you're nuts..
Feel better now.. Sounds great.. The only thing you are missing is a hydraulic lift hidden away in the floor then I might move in.. LOL..

Idea for you.. If you go all black with the floor.. How about doing a big stencil of the Lexus Logo (White) in the center of the garage.. Now that would be sweet..

As for the floor you hit it on the head.. MotorMat is what I used.. Can't say enough good things about the product.. Good luck with the construction!
