Default Cat or Resonator?

This is a pic off my 95 SC4 - is this a cat or resonator? Why would there be a 3rd cat from the factory - seems like overkill to me? Plus there's absolutely no monitoring of the gases after this piece - i.e. no O2 sensor.

Thanks Johnny - I just wanted to confirm. I'm wondering how much crap the shop is going to give me over it's removal.

Hey man,

Just go with the story I told you about - should work wonders

You don't legally have to have it - they just can't "legally" remove it

So be a good talker and you will be set.

And make sure you get mandrel bent!!

Yeah thats your Cat. Are you trying to have it deleted? They cant legally remove it. Just tell them you want a test pipe to replace the third cat. Still legal. Im doing it for my SC3 soon.
