Sent a PM about the wiring diagrams, hopefully you're still around this site.... if not, anyone know anywhere else to find the soarer wiring diagrams in English?
I am ready to start this swap and trying to plan ahead.
Gen 1 and Gen 2, what years are these.?
and all I have to do is extend wires ,
if true that will be awsome.
Dave
Easiest swap is a GenII 1JZGTE. No modifications to the car what so ever. Only have to extend 40ish wires. Plug/play, and go.
i think mines is a gen 2 thats all i did but then again my car is a 92 i did not have to wire up my alternator like others here or neither did i have to wire anything to the fuse panel under the hood .all i can say is try to get a engine the same year of your car and it will make things much easier and for the wiring do not cut the computer side of the harness, jus cut the body plugs. the less wires you cut the easier it is to troubleshoot .
AT ECU will work fine aside from the annoying errors messages for gear and ets (or etc??) the digital display would pickup... not sure if you'll get those same errors on US display. but if you can't live with the errors messages might want to swap it to a manual ecu asap.
