sound proofing
Hey guys:
I am still working on the completion of my stereo install...Little bit here and there, as time permits. I finally got the whole car back together today, and drove it. it is definitely quieter...kind of like driving in a capsule...I can still hear the engine (although less), and I can still hear road noise, but discernably less. All in all, I call the sound proofing a success...It definitely works, great stuff. I bought three gallons, but only used 2.
Worth the money, but lot's of work...

I only bought one gallon for now. Thats all I will have time to lay down anyways. If I want more I figure I can order another gallon later this summer. It isnt THAT hard to remove the interior. I've done it so many times I have the procedure pretty down pat

pick up some peel & seal and put down ~5 layers on the wheel wells. Thats where most of the noise enters. mine got ALOT quieter even after doing the inside ones only.
yeah im sure youll be alright...i find that when its hot it sticks better. Apply when its hot and it will stay on when its hot. Also, scrub up with some coarse sand paper to give it places to bite into. Remember...mat first, paint on top. Mat wont stick to the paint on stuff.
great setup guys, looks real clean. would love to ride up to o-town and meet the crew sometime, right now im kinda busy running around b-town (that's bradenton) trying to get business stuff in order.
i have scott's number from a PM he sent me, maybe i'll hit him up on a weekend when you're all hanging out.
