Default COntinuing the saga...

Well Gang:

This is a continuation of the stereo install in my car... Wow, this is a lot of work... But, when it is finished, it will be worth it.

Many kudos to Scott and Dave for coming over on Saturday night to continue to help. Dave has one Bad-A$$ SC300 Turbo, and he even let me drive it... , Man!!

Thanks again to Scott, a real trooper...He helped me till 6 am that morning.

Enjoy the pics:

Scott upskirting my dash...

Dave being cool...

Look at how well the wires are laid out, Scott, I couldn't have done it better myself...

Default continued...

More:

Notice the difference in the metal with the eDead, and without...

Battery cable, and notice the fix I made for that panel...Dave helped me with that as well, He got the Hole right...I hear he's good at that... The scuff trim piece would not lock in the hole because the area around the tab had cracked, so I fabbed 2 pieces out of ABS, GOOPed them on, and it held like new...

The center console without the console...

Close-up under the dash, thanks again, Scott...

Threading the 3 speaker cables to the door grommet, the tough job is threading those cables through that grommet...

holly crap ... i look so freakin fat in the pic. wow, i guess it was all the pizza! lol. i really need to get back into the gym. you should have told me to suck in that gut.

everyone notice that i was working, on my back, and dave was standing around, and ryan was taking pics..... as i have heard it said... there were too many cheifs and not enough indians. haha. im just giving you guys a hard time.

i think it all came together good. for the amount of wire we ran, you cant even tell when its all back together. i dont think ryan has any zip ties left though. i used about 90. lol.

Scott:

You were the only one small enough to fit in there... Still got zip ties, that tube contained over a thousand ties...

I hope to complete the stereo install tomorrow.

Thanks,

Ryan

Jose:

Shudders!!! That is an excellent explanation of the emotions I experience when I think of the amount of time, work, and attention to detail it takes to do this thing right But, I still enjoy it all, and the camaraderie with other CL members is absolutely FUN...

Can't wait for it to be done!!

Haha I hear ya man. I've been thru it once, and MAN it's incredible what it takes to get it all done right. And boy it sure sounds sweet afterwards. But for the investment, I rather put that under the hood in the form of 175% more torque this time around.

So how was that turbo 300?

I just happen to have the funds set aside to do both sound and turbo...

I was slicing through the wind like a hot knife through butter... The only disappointment was that I could not drive it around town all night, prowling around for unsuspecting prey...Vettes, Cobras, WRX's, Bimmers, and the like...

Hmm... my car's got no sound deadening on the rear, and none in the doors... who knows, I might end up pulling my whole interior apart too ehheheheh

Awesome install, cant wait to see it in person. The only thing I want to redo on my installation is running the new speaker wires, I think I'm suffering some sound quality from using my stock wires. That and go back and do the sound deadening thing.

And Scott, you are fat!!!

about a gallon on the interior and about half in the trunk.

many thin layers, followed by a fourth thick coat. it came out really nice. its not really had work, but it takes some time. but its well worth it.

im getting ready to do mine right now like i said. You think its a good idea to move some into a smaller can so it doesnt start to cure in the large can before i can use it?

as long as you put the lid back on, you should be fine. we didnt finish till a week after we opened the gallon, and we had no problems. good luck.
