so i take it no one else has seen this from their SC?

and i verified today, it was the run i thought. and it was at 110ish, not at a shift, the car just started losing RPMs and power a lil. any ideas of where to start would be great. trans maybe? it was fine and shifted great the rest of the time, only right there.

Try this.. on the dyno next time, shift manually into 2nd and bring the revs up to 2800rpm. That way it will not shift up or kick down. Just floor it and run it out to redline that way and the loopty-loops should be all but gone and you'll have a much smoother pull.

I do this on my 93 GS300 and I have over 85 pulls on it over the last year and it is perfect every time.

BTW.. with the GTE shortblock (no turbos yet), intake, exhaust, SAFC2 and camgears I'm making 175rwhp and 162tq. Automatic of course for the time being. The GTE shortblock drops my compression from 10:1 to 8.5:1.. so I guess you are pretty much right on with your #s.

Hope this helps you out..

I doubt it is the transmission but in case you need one I have one available for cheap and I am local.

This dyno looks fine to me.

if i'm not getting my charts mixed up, that RPM chart starts at the MPH chart around 107. and you can see the RPM continue going up (in the wrong direction) then drop, then start to increase again. and at around 115 MPH, you can see the MPH going up, then slightly drop, then start going up again. thats the same run, only the RPM chart is zoomed in.

i'm going to verify all this. but i'm almost certain thats how it is. and i heard it when it did it, and it was not shifting. just sounded like he let off the gas slightly and the RPMs dropped, then it was kinda, blah, for the rest. but it was going like, 120ish.
Isn't that normal behavior with DOHC?

i dunno, i've never heard a car start lowering RMPs at 100 mph on a dyno before. almost sounds like fuel cutoff. but then, it lets it keep going.

I may not be right about DOHC, but I know it's normal. I have seen it with my car when it was stock many times.

could be traction or rtard in timing for various reasons done by the ecu since the car itself isnt going 110mph

I had this problem before but in 3rd gear. The problem was old sparks. I'd try that first since it's a pretty cheap fix
