Basically the computer momentarily didn't get an RPM signal, but it went back to normal.
The day before I posted this question I got the most reputable toyota/ lexus mechanic in my town to check my car out. $93 later he told me the trac light and check engine light were on for 2 different reasons. He said the check engine light was on because of my gutted cats and I have the receipt right here that says I need a new traction control pump to fix trac light. When I got home I pulled the code myself and got 13- ignition signal which to me didn't look like gutted cats. With your help I was under the hood for 30 min and fixed the problem- my belt had rubbed the installation off of one of the wires comming off of the distributor causing it to short. I guess I lost that hundred bucks- I wonder how he got his rep.
Thanks,
Cory Purcell
