I think the 2001 RX airbag with chrome emblem is a single stage airbag. CleanSC has one. Do a search under his name and you will find it.

I bought the steering wheel and airbag on ebay. (I had also bought a 2001 GS400 wheel from silversprucesc3 as well. That has now been sold to VSsc400 in what was probrably the quickest sale ever. Thanks Dennis)

There were two things needed to make this conversion work. The first was to change over the cruise control lever and wires from my stock steering wheel to the new wheel. I then had to cut off the airbag connector from my stock wheel and swap it onto the new airbag. The whole project took me about an hour to do and is definitely worth it. Enjoy the pics!

i just got my gs300 3 spoke wheel and bag and just got them rewrapped and padded and now realize bag connectors are diff and also find out adapter no longer avail so u guess i had to splice and heatshrink and tape

is any one particular wire positive charged or polarity does not matter

Looks great! I will be doing this same thing hopefully when I get out of Iraq later this year. Everything on the steering wheel functions as its supposed to?

apparently there is a wrecked/rolled 2000 Blk/Tan SC3 with steering wheel still in good shape, but airbag deployed at one of the junkyard here...and a lot of stuff missing off it already... =\

wish it was a black steering wheel =(

the airbag from the gs 300 has 2 yellow wires so both are same color

problemsolved all i did was swap the actual plug from the back of the older airbag into the new airbag and everythings works fine
