lowering always=scraping sooner or later, just drive carefully and use angles over bumps, its all about the angles!

Hey Wolfy,

How much ground clearance do you have with that kit on? I've got around 93mm at the moment (stock front lip).

Yeah, take for example the price of the front bumper... it costs $600AUD, which is around $460USD, so we still get ripped compared to how much you guys get it over there for...

hrmm... wonder if it's worth buying it from the USA and shipping it to Australia?
I told you once before I'd help out if you wanted the 97+ parts. I get parts at wholesale prices. The front clip would cost me $250. Side skirts $380. Rear $230. Fogs $230. I can go order the stuff and you can send the money to JM Lexus. Just let me know.

Hey joeyc2 what kinda suspension do you have? I have a vertex kit ready to be put on, but if problems arise, I may trade it for a '97+ one I just want to see how low it is. Thanks!

Hey ummagawd, where do you live, I might wanna check out your car someday. Thanks

well i just went out and measured the distance from the bottom of my vertex kit to the ground. all around except for the nose front is at 3.5inches.. that puts it at about 88mm for conversion reasons. it's not as bad soarergtt.... all ya gotta do is keep an eye out for things. like i said, i have been able to drive around in san francisco (hill city) and i don't scrape.... i only scrape on things like driveways. but yea i'd also keep in mind that should you do "spirited" driving... you mite wanna look into a stiff set since the way i'm at now on CS coilovers, i tend to get tire r ubbing the fender... so something at least stiffer than the CS. hope this helps your decision

LexAnt - You've been a great help. How low does the front measure btw? Thanks again.

One way or another you will be scraping a whole lot.
I replaced my JIC magic bumper 3 times due to constant scraping, debree on the road (car too low to clear stuff laying on the road), etc, and now I have a Bomex front bumper.

Out of Bomex, Vertex, and JIC, the bumper that will have the least ground clearance is JIC.
Refer to pic below:

JIC- Bottom side profile.

Damn sorry man totally forgot about that. Hrmm, will keep in mind after I pay my fines off (front bar is next thing now, can't stand it any longer). And I'll have to get a price on the freight from US to Australia.
