Default supra brake conversion

what do I need for the brake conversion?

Supra calipers (are LS400s just as good?)
Rotors
Pads
SS brake lines?

does anyone on CL sell the complete kit or do I just call up my local Toyota dealer?

Goldark,

You can get these used often in our classifieds forums, or Steve Ganz / Carson Toyota holds a GB on them every couple of years. A similar alternative is the LS400 brake conversion kits that Aliga sells (also 4 piston but rotors are a tiny bit smaller).

For details on what you need... did you try to search? I know there are at least a dozen threads on this conversion. I'll look for a couple for you in a sec.

Also - you will need either Supra TT wheels or other high disk fittment brakes with the right kind of spoke design to clear these very big brake calipers.

OK for searching I used 'supra brake parts' and found these right away among others. Try it

If you want to know what parts you need just ask me.

Do you actually have to use SS line or can you reuse the sc rubber lines?

When you order rotors do you just get the ones for an LS400?

I know this has been asked a bazillion times but does anyone know if a set of Enkei RPO!s 18x8 with a 35 offset will clear the calipers (they worked fine on the much smaller diameter 300zxTT brakes) .

you need 2.75" clearanace from the rotor to the wheel spoke, if you have that, then your fine.

a little off topic, didn't want to create a new thread.

I have a set of TT calipers that's been sitting in my garage for over a year, and it is extremely dusty and covered with brake fluid.

My question is, what do you clean it up with? Is it okay to clean it with water and dish washing soap?
