small problem
I was driving one day, and out of the blue, my car started making these funny noises when I put my foot on the gas. I noticed that it was harder and harder for me to move (my foot will be al the way down on the gas and I would be going 40 up a hill.)
it was cold outside adn I figured it was acting up because I didn't give it time to warm up so I disregarded it.
The next day, the problems continued. They went away for like 5 mintues and I was able to drive my car normal.
The next day I tried to test drive it, and now I can't get the car to move.
I figure it's some type of clutch/tranmission problem, but I don't know what.
I would like to have SOME idea of what it is before I take it to get it fixed so I don't get hoosed.
You could hear the engine overworking. Imagine revving all the way up and going 40 MPH, that is what it was like.
Right now, if i started my car, the engine would rev, but the car won't move, well it's a stick so it will roll, but you know what I am saying.
The last time I drove it, I didn't have a problem with the engine turning over. It's been a month, and I tried to start it up around a week ago and it wouldn't cut on, but the battery is brand spaking new, I tought that was odd, however it is the winter, it probably just needs to be ju mped.
The clutch sticks a bit better when cold, then you warm it up a bit and it doesn't wanna grab at all.
Take it to a local tranny shop.
They'll tell you if it's the clutch or not, but I'm pretty sure.
