Default Electrical

What up,

My problem is that i get the dimming lights when using all the electrical components, the fan slows down when hitting the brakes, the lights dim with the breaks, and my aftermarket head unit won't turn on. If i get a new battery and get a new negative cable and find a better ground will this elimate the electrical problem??

Thanks

Possibly, but because this is happening while the car is running I would look into whether the alternator is doing its job properly or not.

Put a multi meter on the battery and watch the voltage. Start with the car at idle and no acc on and them start turnnint on acc one by one watching the voltage. If you voltage drops lower than 12.5 than your alternator may be suspect. First check the cables for corosion and make sure the ground looks solid. If all looks good than have the alt load tested. The factory alt are not the great to begin with but if the battery is old than thats worth checking as well. I wouldnt rush out and buy parts until you know what the problem is.
