Default seat covers

i'm looking at $650 to recover my drivers side seat w/ a vinyl look alike product. some of the leather is torn due to the previous owner's lack of leather maintenance. (not to mention lack of any tint what so ever).

anyone found any seat covers that fit the seats nicely ? i'd like to consider my options. brand names would be appreciated as i can then find them online.

thanks............

A member on here mentioned checking out the ones at Pep Boys. I did, and made a purchase. I don't particularly care for the sides of them, but they are cheap and def. look better than my torn and cracked leather!!

Lemme know if u need more info. I will take pics when my car gets put back together!

Peace,
jonny

Yup. For about what you're paying for JUST your driver's seat you can get a full replacement set of covers from them for your entire enterior. Or I'd just put in some racing seats for about the same price. $650 for one seat though????

its actually about 750 front and back seats plain and 800 for 2 tone. i got mine they fit good softer leather and make sure to get some good tints such as llumar or v-kool to have your leather last longer.

thats a pic of my interior from the groupbuy ran me 709.00 but regular would be $100 more,

Wait for the next group buy from leatherseats.com. You'll get real leather. The cost on the last buy was $569 or about $600 shipped.

Default labor

the cost of the leather is only part of the cost of recovering the seat. there is plenty of labor involved as i'm sure u found out.
i'm really looking for an inexpensive solution....perhaps postponing the inevitable......but, i can't afford the recovering right now and the tears bug me.

When's another group buy! I need new seats BADLY!!!

BTW, you can do the leather replacement yourself if you're a little mechanically inclined and don't mind breaking a sweat.

But to pay $650 when the new covers are the same price, thats rediculus!

I feel ya bro, most decent auto upholstery places will charge around $200 to professionally install this interior from leatherseats.com, that's what I plan to do because I want it done right. If you just want something temporary and inexpensive there's a fleabay seller who sells "leatherlike" seat covers for $60 a set. I belive the seller's name is "igee custom seatcovers" I've spoken to "Alice" there in their office and she can help you out if you choose to go that route. Just tell her what you want and go from there...(I don't know her personally, I've never bought anything from them myself, and I'm not affiliated with this store, I'm just trying to help you out)

I'm sorry but I'm not following your logic. If you wait for a group buy and get full leather OEM style replacement covers from leatherseats.com for $569 + $200 for any decent shop to install them(about 8 hours of work for 1 professional installer) you're looking at about $769 to redo your *ENTIRE* leather interior. That's *CHEAP*!

fo' realz! Any other route will run you a grand just for the leather covers...this is considerably less than a grand...PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED.

Wow! What a complete rip off. It only takes a professional installer about 2 hours for one seat. Man I need to get out of software engineering, move to Georgia, and start installing upholstery for a living!
