Default Rusty Rotors

I bought a set of Brady D/S rotors fr cheap and got what I paid for, unfortunately. They are kinda rust down by where the wheel bolts up. Does anyone know of a fix for this? Rustoleum? F

You can paint the rotor hat with some high temp paint, top it off with clear coat if you want.

for future refence you should buy zinc plated ones which dont rust. They're only a few dollars more.

Even the zinc plated rotors rust over time. As quick as in 2-3 months.
Best solution would be sanding and spraying high temp paint as said above.

A little off topic.....CleanSC, what Volks do you have on your SC??? If they're the Mags....then they're sick~!
Also, do you have pic of them as well as your whole car?? I would like to scope the Wald kit as well.....thanks

my work sells these rotors actually and we don't zinc coat any of our rotors unless the customer wants it. Zinc coating brake rotors will lessen the friction between the rotors and pads, therefore the braking performance will decrease also. Some say this is not true, but I've tried both kinds on my SC and to tell you the truth, I really do believe that the non zinc coated seems to grip way better.

haha.. yea, but the parts of the rotors that the pads don't touch will still be rusted.. there's actually a spray you can get at home depot for about 1.99 that can prevent metals from rusting..

So this anti-rust spray...will it affect the performance of the rotors at all? I'd like ot prevent rusting (if possible) rather than sanding and painting later...
