Default door sills and touching up interior dash

Where can I purchase Lexus door sills for my sc? Also curious, I have the tan interrior with darker brown accents. Is there a touchup paint offered anywhere for the darker brown color around the radio volume control ****? Mine has worn off a little bit and Im wondering what would be the best way to touch it up??

In all honesty, I have never seen an amateur touch-up job go well. It usually looks worse than it started with. I would look for some wrecked SC's and pull the parts you need out of that.

Good luck,

jonny

You can do it yourself but it will be time consuming and you'll have to know what you're doing. First you'll want to reinforce the window sills because if you buy new ones they'll crack again unde the pressure of a person's arm over time. Do a search for PerryinLA's window sill repair and you'll see how to reinforce the piece. Once that's done you can either get a professional vinyl repair person to fix the cracks or you can try and do it yourself. I'd just pay someone because I know nothing about vinyl repair and this is an area of the car that people can clearly see so you don't want to screw up and have it looking half-azzed.

I may have been unclear on my question. I was looking for a cosmetic piece that fits on the door sill which you step across. One that preferably has LEXUS SC or something like that embossed in it. It is the area you step across to enter your vehicle. Currenty, I believe there is a plastic black piece that resides there-Ive seen pictures in the gallery of an SC that has such a piece-it looked really good! : )

Hey man,

I know what you are talking about. I don't think anywhere makes them, I think you have to get them custom made. I know on my other forums people had them made and they looked sweet. Maybe it is time for a group-buy!!!

Peace,
Jonny
