On Tuesday morning on the way back from Tulsa my SC400 was T-boned by a none other than a deer. It smacked the passenger front quarter panel, took off the mirror, scraped along the door, smacked its body hard on the rear quarter demolishing it, and then scraped the rear bumper leaving blood and gastric juices all over the car.
Damages came to $3500. I feel more sorry for the deer though.
Talking to the local yokels they say that I am lucky and that people die from head on collisions sometimes. They also said that the deer sometimes even kick people to death after being hit.
Can anyone suggest a good body shop in NW Arkansas?

Hermosa, sorry to hear.

Same thing happened to me many years ago as I drove south on the 101 near Monterrey, except the deer hit the passenger door and bounced off. I had a 1972 BMW 3.0cs (no passenger side mirror). Suprised the hell outta me since I never saw it coming, and I saw the deer get up and run away in my rear view mirror.
Incredibly, the only damage was a dented door, that popped out to normal like an oil can once I removed the inner trim panel and pushed it out. Sorry to hear you were not as lucky, but you're right- the real loser was the deer.

I had a similar thing happen to me, although I didn't suffer as much damage. I saw a pair of doe's in the road. I slowed down and carefully drove arounf them (they wouldn't budge!). As soon as I was past and starting to accelerate, this buck charged me from the edge of the woods. Bashed a dent in my upper front fender with his head, spun around and caved in the lower fender with his shoulder, then dented in the passenger door with his body. It was too dark to see if he got up or not, and frankly I was too pissed to care.

You're not the only one who got hit by a deer (or hit a deer). Ioverclocker also had an encouter with one.
, a deer! A female deer! (sorry, I couldn't resist)Sorry you had a bad venison encounter. I know of a few body shops in Searcy, AR, but that's a ways from NW AR. Glad you are OK and that the SC is fixable. I think there are a few CL'ers in F-ville. (Camshaft may be one of them??) They may be able to help you. Good luck on getting it fixed.
The deer hit the front fender and smacked the upper door and then ripped out the mirror. Note the panels are bent out of shape.
The deer was probably turned around and it's butt smacked the rear quarter panel. The red and green fluids have since washed off in the rain.
