Dean,
I have made several posts on this topic and never found a cure. Check your wiring to see if anything has been spliced. Is the bulb ok? Is your ground connected to a ground etc.
Lemme know more and I will help u find the fix,
Peace,
Jonny

Thanx anyway Jonny .Finally found my problem after ripping my harness apart and checking for voltage on all the harness connectors and light sockets and blowing a couple of fuses along the way.
seems the jokers at the body shop that just fixed my car after being T-BONED last month put in a 2057 bulb instead of the 1157 that the break/tail light socket requires
I had checked the bulbs of course but just checked that the filliments were still good and never thought to check the #s
But hey wouldn't it be great if some one with the wiring schematics for the sc 3 and 4 scanned and posted them on this site ?hint, hint
What do you think OLT????
And hey why is it that only one of six light sockets are for the tail light ? That caught me off guard as well.
