I am having problems with the power windows on my 93 SC400 . Both windows stopped working at the same time. The problem is intermittent – sometimes they work, but not for very long. When the windows are not working, I hear a buzzing noise when I try to wind down the driver side… I hear nothing from the passenger side.

Any ideas on troubleshooting this problem… Anyone experiencing similar problems…

 

Open the doors up and wiggle the power window wires... The actual motor unit should be near the end of the door with a cable going to it. End as in where the handle is. My power windows stopped working a while back, and I just opened it up and started jigging. It was just a lose connection tied in with the cable popping out of it's holder and jamming the window down. thus you can hear the sound, but the window doesnt come up.

Anyways, that's what I did. I hope that's all you need to do as well.
