it does beep when the key is removed from the ignition.

I think you should really follow the advice of some above and do a combo of these things if you want it done right:

1 - post in the detail section for goodies/tips
2 - park in garage, remove seats, carpet, door panels
3 - find a way to get those electrical components free of moisture - you might have to pop them open, blow them out, get some 100% alcohol to clean the connections before they corrode and cease working (think about your power window/door lock/bun warmer/ECT etc!!)
4 - get the wet vac and a lot of Febreze
5 - hang the carpet inside or out where you can get some air, heat to it.
6 - Febreze some more
7- Condition your leather

Good luck

Why dont you try puting an electric dehumidifier in the car. Use an extension cord, roll up the windows and and shut the doors. I would also use a wetvac if you have not done so already. That will extract a whole lot more water that dry rid. You have to remember to dump that pan of the dehumidifier when it is full.

this is what i've done so far. i've used towels to absorb as much water as i can, then i put leather care on the seats and yesterday night i put the dehumidifer in the car and shut the windows. this morning there was about 2-3 pounds of water in the tank. the floor is still very wet so i'm going to leave let it bake in the sun with the windows open? i'll apply another coat of the leather care before i do that. about the febreeze, isn't that for fabric and not for leather?

you know i remember my sunroof use to beep too but now it doesn't? i have my lights set on auto maybe that's why? maybe it only works with the light set on ON? the thing about the wet vac is , i don't think there is much water left anymore especially after i used the towels and dehumidifier. Thanks everyone for the help, i'll keep everyone updated. One thing i noticed was that when i opened the door today there was a strong smell coming out of my car, i'm not sure if that's the leather care or mildew... maybe that's what the febreeze is for.

Here's another idea dude. You know how cheapie paint places like Earl Sheib, 1Day, and Maaco have those heat bays where they put cars to dry the paint? Maybe you could roll up to one of those places and see how much they'd charge you to just let you park your car in that heat bay for a few hours? I'm sure if you spoke to the manager you could work something out. Most car guys are cool and will help you out when in need. Hopefully this will rid the car of all that moisture.

There are LOTS of ecectrical connections under the carpet. Look at this picture here. Look at the lower left hand corner.

It's really easy to get to that place. Just above the wires, there's a long piece of soft plastic. Take that piece out by yanking on it a little. Once that's off, it will expose all those wires. Dry off as much as you can and make sure there isn't rust there.

Mine only beeps when the sunroof is tilted open, not when it is slid open. Pretty retarded, I think. Maybe it's a fault of my car?

if you don't take care of them, you may be driving with windows down in the rain and manually locking the doors

When you are all done with the drying process, throw in a dryer sheet. When i say that i mean one of those little peices of paper that you put in the dryer to make your clothes smell nice. I had a small amount of rain in my civic hatch, and i dried it all up and put one of those in, it smelt real nice almost like a prarie meadow filled with flowers haha
