Default Decent Seat Covers

Guys,

My front leather is in bad shape and I don't have the $$$$ to get new leather. Does anyone know of any tasteful seat covers that I could get?? I know no covers are really tasteful but neither is holes in the leather!! My leather is black and not looking so hot. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Peace,

jonny

LOL I came online to post the SAME thing. What a coincidence. Yeah my leathers really #$#% up and I was thinking of sheepskin covers. I know ppl on here will say get the leatherseats.com covers, but personally I would want to spend my $600 on something else right now. I need something temporary... say for about 7/8 months till I can get the leather seat covers. I was thinking sheepskin. I need something cheap like Dx3. Prolly around $60. My leather is full of rips and its so damn hard it makes my butt hurt. Its just my drivers seat thats really messed up, so do you guys think I could buy a new drivers seat for $60? (didnt mean to jack ur thread, but its the same subj so I was like what the hell).

I dont know if this is what you guys could be considering but I remember I heard something about a leather repair kit some time ago.

After reading this thread, I typed "leather repair kit" on yahoo and found this.

http://www.leathermagic.com/Secure/e...log.asp?prdc=1

I cannot vouch for it, but maybe you guys could be the first ones to give something new to the community!

I checked out the aadepot site and it looks like it would be close to $100 for the univeral kit inclusing shipping. I wonder whether it is worth the extra money to go with the custom made kit?? Anyone done this?

I was hoping to spend no more than $60 doing this - everything is soo damn expensive these days!!

Will keep you posted on what I end up doign and how it turns out,

Peace,

jonny

This looks kinda cool but a real waste to pay for all the colors when I need only one. Also, I think they are more for cracked leather as opposed to leather with holes in and foam popping out!!!

Thx for the input though - Peace,

jonny

I believe there are about 165k or so on my car. The rear leather is fine, the pass. is ok, but the drivers has a hole on the shoulder bolster that is getting worse.

Peace,

jonny

SWAP the Leather from the passenger side to the driver's side. It is the same pattern/hookup.
Get some Hog rings and Hog ring pliers. It is an afternoon job if you only swap the top sections.

And this solves the problem how? That's like saying, if you catch a flat tire, just switch it to the other side of the car and all is fine. Switching the leather to the other side does nothing whatsoever.

As to the question of whether or not to go with the full custom kit, no, just ask them for the set that fits the SC best, I believe they'll say the Civic covers which run about $60 just for the fronts. This is only a temporary fix until someone can get their leather re-done correctly..if you spend significantly more than that then you should be looking into something a little more long-term.
