SC300 5sp Gas Milage Info
I thought I'd contribute my gas milage info in return for all the help I've picked up here over the last couple years. I have a stock 94 sc300 5sp, driven about a 60/40 split between city/highway. Bought it at 61,000 miles & currently at 83,000.
Over 21,500 miles I've used 1117 gallons of gas. That's about 19.25 MPG. Highest milage was 24.9 during slow summer highway driving, lowest was 15.3 during sub-zero winter city driving.
Octane doesn't make a statistically signifigant difference to milage (at least between 87, 89 & 93 - never tried 91 enough to say for sure). Driving habits do make a noticable difference, but it's hard to quantify so I won't try. (As a general rule I drive 75 on highways & pretty sedately in the city).
Yes, my wife calls me ****. I prefer "well informed"...
