Agreed, I really like the look. A drop would perfect it.

What width tires are you running out back?

Reggie as far as maintinence order some Wheel Wax from the tire rack, it will protect them from brake dust and make them very easy to clean.

I guess you guys can tell I'm really getting into these wheels. Before, I argued it didn't make sense to spend so much on wheels. I am eating all that crow right now. Have to admit, it feels nice to dress my baby in designer shoes.

Okay, what's in wheel wax that makes it different from regular wax? I like Adrian's suggestion to use regular wax because I know it won't be too stong. Will the wheel wax keep the shiny lustre longer?

Go to Tirerack website and read about Wheel Wax, regular wax will work but it's made for paint, I'm sure there are plenty of guys on this site that use it including myself, Lexforlife, Alsilverbullet, Pmatrix just to name a few.

remember reg u'r lips r polish thats clearcoated so u have 2 use something that isn't 2 strong. if they wher all chrome than u could use stronger waxes or polishes but rule of thumb is treat clearcoated polish like the clearcoat on u'r car....

Default GR5's

Well, it's been 2 weeks and I wanted to make some final comments. I was silly when I started this post complaining about the wheels. I should have given it a few days before I opened my mouth. Now I feel sorta stupid...wishy washy. I really like these wheels. No one else has chrome GR5's that I know of. More than that they look good...and they are quality. The way they feel when I wash them, you can touch the quality. Yeah I wish I had 40 offset that would have given me more lip but these look darn good. The pronounced front spokes look really cool rolling. The more I look the less they look like Volks. Volks are sport...these are luxury. Thanks to all who commented, good and not so good.
One piece of advice. Save up for a really nice set of wheels. There is a difference and you'll be glad you did.

okay heres the deal with waxes for wheels or wheel wax as i and a few others use

regular wax will work but once it heats up via brakes etc it will melt away .. wheel wax was designed to resisit the elements of heat and corrosive nature of brake dust in fact it was made to repel brake dust by making the surface super slick .. reg wax will work for a show or someting but will not last beyond rain or high heat
