I'm under the impression that the Black Matte front lips only came on the 92-94 SC's. I'd like to put a lip on my 95 sc400, but i'm not sure it'd mate up correctly. Does anyone know if the screwholes in the bottom of my (95) front bumper are residual holes so they didnt have to redesign a bumper? I'd also take an aftermarket lip, but couldnt find one online, and the local body shop said that they couldnt order one.

Michael, this is the most talked about mod on here for those of us with pre '97 SC's. do a search for "lip" or "lip spoiler" and prepare to be reading for days...no one is chiming in because this topic has been covered a BAZILLION times. Search and see, and this is for ANY questions you may have. Just enter a couple of words in the "search" field and break out the reading glasses

There is no aftermarket lip that's easily obtainable or relatively affordable (meaning less expensive than the OEM one) , but there are aftermarket kits or whole bumpers. And we can't say what the holes in your current bumper are/were for.

Best thing to do is haunt the classified section of CL and wait for someone to be selling one, either that or pay upwards of $400 from a dealer. Best thing to do IMO is find yourself a '97 front bumper, they can be had cheaper and it'll update the look of your car.

Whoa, there are aftermarket lips.

The reason your not finding any is because a majority of them are Japanese made.

I've had the Wisesports lip for my SC and sold it to another CL member.

 

anyone got pics of the oem lip painted on the car? most of the lips i see on the forum aren't painted or not on the car

 

here goes mine when I first got the car about 3 years ago. it looked pretty clean

sorry man this is the only other one i have and it looks like garbage. i would go take some more but my car hasn't had that oem bumper for more than 2 years .
