Strut Tower Bar Install HOW-TO
Tools:
14 MM deep socket
5/16 Allen Wrench
Peice O' Wood

Parts:
4 1/2" Washers (mine were heat treated... nice and thick)

Step One: Remove the metal TPS sensor cover, relocate hose clamp.

You can see here the remains of that cover -- I stripped the screws (highlighted)

Step Two: Put two washers on each front stud (four washers per side)

Step Three: Extend the bar a few revolutions until it fits the studs snugly (read: you need to muscle it on... if you're a skinny dude like me)

Step Four: Install the Passenger side. Lift the rear part of the cruise control cover to fit it easier.

Step Five: Put a pice of wood right where you think it's going to make contact with that vacum line -- push the bar down ontop of the piece of wood to
statisfy my whimsical biddings. **EDIT: I don't think this does anything -- don't bother unless you have fitment issues.**

For those of you wondering about hood closure:
Step Six: Make sure you do infact have clearance (doesn't need to be much) then go and take it out for a drive and see the differance 20 bucks can make.

you may have the unit backwards -- try flippig it around.
The base sets the bar towards the front of the engine.

the front should be the shorter arm, with the rear being longer... follow?

Just to let everyone know...This bar will not clear SC400 engines because this bar has a round center design....You will need a flat bar to fit over the big 1UZFE engine...
Only bar that will fit correctly is the Cusco bar....JIC and TRD will need spacers...
I have the TRD bar on my car and it only fits correctly with reinforcement spacers....
Nice write up SupraCoup3, we need more of these...
Here is a pic of my TRD bar...

You already have one on each side, so you just put two more on each side for the bar to clear without touching the engine....
