Default EDFC in ashtray photo

Sorry, this took so long. I know it's been almost a month since I promised pics, however, I just finally got my digicam back. I probably should have cleaned up the interior before photographing.

The e-brake handle is out of a BMW 540i Sport. The e-brake button was made from aluminum.

I have the CS Kit on my SC300 and it's way soft. Plus I dumped it all the way, and I needed to go lower. At first i got the spring rate of the Flex Kit which is 2kg up each rear and front springs. I got them, put them in, and realized the spring height was the same so it ended up pushing the car higher. Then I returned that set of springs, moved the 10kg front springs to the rear because there 50mm shorter. I ordered a 14kg 50mm shorter in the front springs. Now it's perfect, it's 50mm more dumping power than before. So I can slam it. Still rides awesome. I love the big rubber upper mount as oppose to pilow ball mounts.

Question

s0arer,
care to elaborate on you Tein edfc experience and what your running now? So, the CS coilovers even on the stiffest setting still was too soft?

It seems like everyone has a different opinion on which coilovers provide the best level of performance, comfort, and lowering. There is also plenty of debate over whether the EDFC is worth the extra money or not.
For me the Tein CS kit was perfect. I don't have them as low as they could go, but I have no desire to go any lower. I'm not a fan of the slammed look, so the CS is plenty. As it is, I'm already scraping the front lip on every driveway I dare enter.
I'm also very satisfied with the level of stiffness adjustment. It seems like whether or not these would be stiff enough depends both on personal taste, as well as what other suspension/handling modifications you're running...and even your tire pressure.
For me the EDFC is a necessity. Opponents would say that they don't hold enough desire to change the settings often enough, to warrant the price of the EDFC. I would agree that if I didn't have the EDFC, I wouldn't be interested in popping the hood clicking the ***** on the dampers, then popping the trunk, pulling out the inner lining and making adjustments on those dampers. However, with the EDFC, it's a completely different story.
I'll probably make adjustments using the EDFC at least once, each time I make a drive in the car. I can adjust for a comfortable highway drive, then stiffen up for some fun on a windy road. If I've got a load in the trunk, I can stiffen up just the rear dampers enough to help compensate. You can also use that ability to vary the stiffness between the front and rear dampers to adjust oversteer/understeer.
However, I wish they had provided the ability to adjust each damper independently. This would allow the driver to better corner weight the car, and adjust accordingly; as well as adjust for driver weight.
