Help!! Clucth Pedal Stuck wont recoil back
I am stuck at downtown on the side of the road, been hours trying to figure out this thing.
It's an 1992 SC300 Factory 5 speed. I got cluch pedal limping. Clutch depressed all the time, I can pull
the clutch in the original position, but there is no pressure. WTF??
I can depress the clutch pedal but it wont recoil back.
I can start the engine. With the engine on/off, it seemed clutch is in engage position cuz i can put in gears.
Is tranny in my car cable driven or Hydro?? Does anyone have this issue before?? How can I fix it..
This is what i tried before, I sprayed Liquid Wrench (WD40) on the clutch pedal (the rod that goes everytime you depress the pedal) HELP,

Clutch is hydraulically powered. Check the reservoir in the engine bay to make sure you still have fluid. Im not too knowledgable on the subject, but maybe there was a leak somewhere between the reservoir and the slave cylinder and you slowly bled out all your fluid? Not exactly sure. Good luck with it.
its an sc300, where in engine bay, would i find clutch master cylinder fluid location? and what kind of fluid should i buy to top it off?

i just lot my job, AAA membership expired, no friend around. You guys wont believe this, i tow my lexus 20 mi from downtown Portland to Beaverton with my 89 civic Hatchback. Arrived home at 3:00 in the morning, I m so darn tired.
that sucks man, well good luck. The clutch cylinder is in the top right in the engine bay, by the brake master cylinder. Use normal DOT 3 brake fluid, and if it turns out that air was sucked into the clutch, you should bleed it while you're at it.
Good luck

ok, I 'm staring at the engine bay, i notice that the fluid on the clutch master cylinder is full.
i sticked my finger and notice that its black in the bottom and clear on the top ( seemed like oil after you frying chicken, black on the bottom and clear on the top, sorry i have no better way explaining this)
But its full, should i use syringe to drain it (suck it up) and replace.
how can i drain this thing? Could it be something else (worn clutch, etc)??
I have worn clutch before and the pedal travel is the same, just engine reving HP not transfered to the wheel in GEAR.

I m on a tight budget right now, and i cant drive the car.
I would start asking local shop tommorow. Thanks for narrowing the problem down.
the pedal clutch stay depressed, like its limping and it wont come back.
I don't think its leaking since i left the car in front of my apt this morning (after i towed the car) there is not any drips or puddle anywhere.
Failing Master/Slave Cylinder ... How much estimation is this gonna cost me??

Just wanted to know if the thread starter ever got this taken care of??? I am in the same situation, and I need to know. If possible does anyone have a step by step pictorial? I seemed to get no responses on my previous thread I started. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...75#post1605375
