My SC400 got trashed.....
....after a MAJOR hailstorm in Grand Prairie last weekend. The damage was pretty severe taking out the windshield, sunroof, and back glass. The sunroof and back glass I'm told are dealer items and the total glass resoration is coming in around $2K. This is probably going to total out my 95 SC400 with 135K miles. I hate to let her go, she was just getting broke in good.
Anyone have the hookup on OEM Lexus glass?

JUNKYARD! Im sure there are junkyards that have glass that you need. Sunroof are always on ebay. and rear and front winshield can easily be had for a couple hundred bucks with installation. The dings that your car must have thats a different story. If you are going to scrap it just give it to good ol philly
He'll take care of her.

after some research, found a guy in Dallas wrecking out a 93 SC400. He sold me the complete sunroof assembly(drain pan, motors, glass, pop-up deflector)and back glass for $330 pulled and delivered to my home.
The sunroof was a snap to swap; have hired another guy to R&R the front and rear glass, will see how this goes. As for all the dents, have seen AMAZING results with PDR technology. Will contract with a local company I know. If all works out, wont have to pay my deductible ($500, thank you very much) and I can get the front plastic repainted as it needed a freshening up.
Too weird about the whole thing; the morning of the hailstorm the 'check engine' light had come on. Had NEVER seen this thing come one - guess it was a bad omen
